At least partly because Royal Mail is too unreliable due to their strikes and disruption, we have now switched from sending physical paperwork documentation (insurance certificate, Terms copy etc) and are now 100% sending all insurance documentation via email directly to customers.
This is saving trees hence doing our bit for the environment.
Email is far quicker and far less likely to get lost or held up.
Email is not a perfect medium but it is far less at the control of industrial action so is far more likely to get through to you as a customer.
What used to take 15 to 25 days to get to customers in paper format is now taking about 4-5 days usually (we state 10 days to make sure we are within that time).
