Going through pages on the internet, you will discover a multitude of companies and websites selling iPhone spares and equipment, enabling you to execute repairs yourself but as expected, with a high cost. The most typical repair needed for the iPhone is the need to replace a cracked or broken screen. Simply to buy a new screen will definitely cost you a minimum of £50. In addition, you will need to purchase some tools with which you will open your precious iPhone with. These “tools” cost about another £15, but be cautioned, even then it isn't as easy as they claim.

I'd tried to dismantle my iPhone to remove the SIM card that got stuck inside the tray. It’s one of the first 3G’s and nobody was interested in trying to repair it for me. I had to remove the screen to gain access and this wasn't easy at all. I wound up itching the edges of the glass which is truly bothersome. My close friend has changed 2 screens before and a communications board and this cost him £370, almost as much as his iPhone did when it was brand new. However, it would have only cost him a fraction of the cost if he got iPhone insurance and safeguard it for damage, and it would also provide it coverage against thievery and fraudulent calls as well.

The sagest advice that you can follow is this - leave the repairs to the experts as repairing your iPhone is not that easy. For only £5.99, you can already safeguard your pocket from future expenses by acquiring your new iPhone with comprehensive iPhone insurance.

1.	Accident Damage - this portion of iPhone insurance will protect your iPhone should it become damaged accidentally. Many individuals will unintentionally drop their phone while walking or it can fall out of their pockets. Some of the most common forms of damage include cracked screens.
2.	Liquid Damage - iPhones can become saturated with water if it is covered with a liquid. Individuals all too often spill drinks on the table and forget that their iPhone is there. Also, some individuals may drop their iPhone in the toilet or sink if they are not careful when speaking on them.

Browsing through pages on the internet, you will find a multitude of companies and websites selling iPhone spares and equipment, enabling you (at a cost) to carry out repairs yourself.

The most common repair needed to the iPhone is the need to replace a cracked or damaged screen. Simply to buy a new screen will cost you at least £50. In addition you will need to purchase some tools with which to open up your precious phone. These cost about another £15, but be warned, even then it’s not easy.

I had to dismantle my 3G to remove the sim card which had become jammed inside the tray. It’s one of the first 3G’s and nobody was interested in trying to repair it for me. I had to remove the screen to gain access and this was not easy at all. I ended up scratching the edges of the glass.

My friend has replaced 2 screens and a communications board. This cost him £370…almost as much as his iPhone did new 10 months ago. It would only have cost him a little over £50 to insure it for damage, and it would also have been covered against theft and damage as well!

Take a word of advice from me. Leave the repairs to the experts. It really is NOT easy. Everything inside is so small and complex. It took me over 2 hours to refit a tiny cable connector I’d had to remove.

Insure your precious iPhone and avoid the worry.
